I work for Closets by Design Atlanta. We utilized AmeriGas for our forklift's propane tank. During the initial service, the tanks were not properly sealed, causing propane to leak out. AmeriGas was contacted several times with no answer. In the end they refused to credit me back for any of the propane tanks.

They are horrible. I had them for 3 or 4 years and had nothing but issues. When I finally made a move to another company, Amerigas came to take my tanks away (500-gallon and 120-gallon) which still had a substantial amount of propane in them, they charged me $425 for it. Now my tanks, both of them had still around 40% in each and I have called them multiple times for a refund on the propane that they took left in the tanks and I cannot get anywhere, they tell me lies, they have gone as far to give me Transit and check releas... read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. We bought a house where the sellers had used Amerigas. We did not want to use this company, so we called to ask them to pick up their tank. After about a year, they sent someone to disconnect the tank, but they left it on our property. It's now been 2 years and the disconnected tank is still sitting behind my house. I've called MULTIPLE times to get them to pick it up, and it's the same old song and dance of "we will have someone call today to schedule a pick up by Saturday".

Moved into my rental house October of 2022. Had the tank filled the full 250 gallons. I went through a whole tank in less than a month by MYSELF only using the propane to heat the house as my appliances are electric. I called amerigas to have an emergency delivery because the tank was completely empty and asked them to check for a leak. They claimed they checked and there was no leak. I continued to go through propane in the winter EXTREMELY quick so this winter I was tired of spending money on propane that I was not using a... read more

0 stars.Amerigas has left me without heat, an oven, a dryer, or a stove for over a month. I had to hire a different company to fix a propane leak because amerigas would take a month to repair it. They only need to come turn my tank back on. I was told my multiple agents my order was escalated but March 14th was the closest date for someone to come unlock my tank. I called to check this fo the fourth time and they told me it would now be the 29th of march. Over a month. Over a month of no heat. Of no ability to cook. Over a m... read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. Service was canceled over 3 years ago because I couldn't get a delivery even though I got multiple delivery times but no one ever came so they were supposed to remove the tank which never happened so it just sit in my yard unused for 3 years they did pick it up last fall and after that they sent a bill for 3 years of tank rental even though it was supposed to be picked up 3 years ago. It took 6 phone calls speaking to approx 12 different people who promised to have it resolved but I kept gett... read more

We were billed twice for filling our tank twice in January within one week of each filling. Both invoices show Amerigas filled the tank to 80%. We have requested verbally and written for feedback why the two bills for filling the tank twice within one week since mid-January but no response. Multiple Amerigas service people said the first filling could not have occurred so why the invoice. Customer service has reviewed bills and agrees this should not have happened but no one at Amerigas local office has corrected the invoice... read more

My experience with this company has been anything but pleasant. I call them to remove their tank because we simply can't afford it. They want 200.00 to remove the tank. They charge us for tank rental and we send them the 40.00 payment and we get another bill and a 36.00 late charge! Can't win for losing with these people! We are on Social Security. We can't do them anymore.
