This business has no presence in *********! There is nobody in their office. Their website is worthless. They tell you to call a number that involves a very long wait time. If you can stand the waiting music, and have an hour or more, your call is answered in *******, *****!! I have been waiting all summer for them to take their propane tank away to no avail. This business is very bad. Just please take the leaky tank away now.

We have been members since 1983. We are on a will call list to receive more propane. Since this is a back up heating choice, we rarely or never call. When I pay our yearly tank rental, I ask them to come paint our tank. Never came. I finally had to paint it myself. We reported a gas smell on 9-12-24. We called. Someone was sent in a prompt amount of time. Since our outside tank is an older model, it wasn't compatible with the new testing equipment. I cannot even give this company a one star rating! I read some of the previous reviews and they sound pretty well like my experience and others of my neighbors. There is no one you can talk to. I have been on the phone on hold with no one ever coming on after 20 minutes multiple times. When I did get a kind person from *****, she sympathized and tried to get me to the right person and then I was back on hold again forever. I am moving due to selling and buying a new house at the same time. I requested a final invoice showing the balance is PIF for closing. They stated they could not generate an invoice for another 30 to 45 days once the account close even though they had no problem generating a same day invoice when informed new owners would be moving into the place in less than a week.

Be careful about paying any odd bills coming from Amerigas. I closed my account with ********************** ... a very slow process over the last 2 months, with multiple customer messages and phone calls in response to their billing emails to me. Today, I received a mysterious bill for $299.98. Our old propane tank was finally picked up last week. We used the 20 pound propane tank exchange at **********, **********, ******* to get a full tank. We didnt use it right away, but a couple months later when we needed it, it would not turn on. The valve at the top would simply not turn, even using a cheater on it. Amerigas insisted on proof of the transaction was before they could even think about helping me. Would leave a 0 star if that were allowed. Did online order for refill and was quoted $4.25 per gallon. The going rate at this time from other 3 companies Ive checked with is $2.25 per gallon. Almost double. Since I lease the tank from them, I have no option for other companies to fill. Tried to call the local office and got transferred to somewhere outside of the ** at least 3 times. Their customer service is HORRIFIC! I've been a customer for 18 years. Last year, they charged me a tank rental fee on top of filling the tank. After calling and not being able to have a conversation with someone who could speak English, I emailed Amerigas twice (have not heard back). I chatted online with a representative today and advised he/she to close the account and pick up the tank. Shraddha told me there would be a $299 charge to pick the tank up. This is absurd.
