The results were surprising and I was glad I had the test done.

This was an easy to use, register and send off kit. I was kept informed to the progress along the way. However just about everyone who knows my dog, and we ourselves were totally floored by the results and we even wondered if the sample had been mixed up or wrongly analyzed. The first thing anyone thinks of when they see him is he's a schnauzer mix. NOt a trace of that in the results.

The results were impossible to download despite many attempts on many devices. Ancestry.com technical support ended up sending me a screen shot of the results which was fine, but not completely satisfactory Otherwise, I’m happy to now know the DNA of my lovely dog.

The process was easy. The timeframe was fair. I just don’t think they were particularly accurate. I can’t say for sure if there was maybe some error on my end when taking the sample but my very clearly mix breed dog was labeled as 100% German Shepherd which was pretty disappointing, because even within three generations, I’m sure there is more than just Shepherd. If anything, he looks a lot more Malinois than Shepherd.

The test was super easy to do on my dog and then mail back in. The results can so fast too! The breeds were not what I expected for my dog but in the same breath - totally make sense!

Everyone told me my little dog was full Maltese. I knew something was off she had a lot of brown fur mixed into the white. I have used other DNA services in the past but since I have been a proponent of Ancestry for a very long time researching my family, I thought why not give them a chance? The results came back quickly and the information was very helpful. 55% Maltese 45% Pomeranian which explains a whole lot. Don't know what the other 5% is though. Obstinence maybe?

Getting Starr's DNA was interesting and it explained her rather short legs (Doxie) and her high-strung nature (Chihuahua). I was very pleased with the results. This is not the first time I've used your services the time before was a part Great Pyrenees.

I was always curious if my dog was full breed German shepherd so I ordered the dog dna kit. The whole process was super quick and simple and I loved seeing all his traits and comparing them to how he is. Will definitely buy again with every dog I get in the future!
