We were totally wrong about our dogs breed. We thought he had beagle in him because he looks just like one but we were wrong. Loved finding out his DNA makeup. He will always be our giant beagle even though his DNA says differently.

We were surprised at the DNA results of our 2 year old rescue. We were told by the adoption agency he was likely a pure bred Shih Tzu. It turned out he is 46% Shih Tzu and 34% chihuahua plus a few other minor breeds. The chihuahua explains his aggressiveness towards other dogs regardless of size difference. His groomer is running an online contest. Who ever comes closest to guessing his breed mix gets a free grooming.

My dog is 14 year old and when we adopted her, they told us border collie mix. As soon as we got her home, we knew she had to have Heeler in her, but we were not sure about the border collie. It was awesome to find out what breeds Roxy is. She took on the border collie look but is 49% American pitbull. The father was in question as mama got loose from the kennel duri.ng her heat cycle. I thought she may have been sherpard as she looks totally different from her 3 sisters. Thank you so much! She is a wonderful little lady smart and sweet.,just love her bunches!

We adopted a dog from our local Humaine Society and our puppy was labeled a pointer mix. We didn't think that was right at all. Then we found this DNA kit for dogs. It has helped us with understanding our pup's behavior and training. I am looking forward to purchasing again for our other dog.
