So Thai food is built around 5 tastes. Unfortunately omelet one dish came even close; the mango salad had all but the bitter. Colorful, light, complex. Delicious. The same could not be said for the very brown and one note pad si ew and basil pork, the latter so salty almost inedible. We will try again as the mango salad was promising but will avoid two of our favorite dishes.

We must have high standards for beauty and art and all of that so that is why I'm writing this review. We must not accept mediocrity we must not pretend things are really good when they're not. This really annoys me this kind of lack of standards and unawareness of artistic criticism and so on. There is absolute truth and there is true beauty and excellence. I've liked Anchalee for years. The food this is good & innovative. The staff is helpful & friendly. Highly recommend the their great crab fried rice. However the last time we ordered out it was that with the duck salad, which was so over spiced and salty. I was stunned at first bite with it. Had to rinse off the duck pieces to make it edible. Please, please, please check how much spice and salt you add to this dish or it's ruined as i'd really like to order it again, but won't. As we didn't eat this at the restaurant, I coul... read more

I've liked Anchalee for years. The food this is good & innovative. The staff is helpful & friendly. Highly recommend the their great crab fried rice. I hate to say unpleasant things about this cute little neighborhood spot, but the vegan dishes we ordered all had some sort of an eggy or fishy aroma to it. I am not sure if it's because the pans were not thoroughly cleaned in between orders or what, but we had to discard a lot of the food we ordered. The noodles were a bit overcooked too. Other than that, nice place.

Happened upon Anchalee while on a long walk. Didn't know anything about it, but it looked like a nice place. It was a nice place, the service was excellent, the atmosphere pleasant, but I'm sorry to say the food was not first-class. I was there by myself, had the basil chicken with rice, and the rice was seriously undercooked, while the chicken was overcooked. Never encountered a Thai restaurant the couldn't serve good rice. Maybe I was just unlucky that day, or maybe I ordered the wrong thing. There are lots of other choice... read more
