Dr Hannekin's system for each visit is very well organized and very thorough. Her team does the testing and pictures that provide Dr Hannekin the most current information about your particular situation. When she comes in, all that data is available for her as she completes her evaluation. Dr. Hannekin explains things in common sense detail and responds to your questions/concerns the same way.
Competent staff, state of the art equipment and adheres to appointment schedules. Dr. Hanneken is pleasant, speaks clearly in terms that are easily understood and responds directly to questions. Great experience.
I flew from NM to see Dr Hanneken for a second opinion. The experience was extraordinary with a competent caring staff. Inspite of a busy schedule Dr Hanneken answered my questions with patience and thoroughness. Her expert inspection of my eyes helped my peace of mind, knowledge and understanding. I wish she had an office in NM.
Dr. Hanneken is a respected physician, but excessive delays are not rare. The three-hour wait during my most recent visit disrupted my day, causing me to miss meetings. Providers should not assume that patients' time is unimportant. Ideally, patients should be scheduled with sufficient time between slots that delays are avoided. At a minimum, notify patients by text message or phone call when there is a delay, and offer them a choice of coming in later (e.g., at the time the pt will actually be seen) or rescheduling.
I havea been seeing Dr. Hanneken for a few years and have all positive experiences with her and her staff. She tells me of any issues or concerns with exams and always anwsers my questions. Her staff is very professional. I highly recommend her and feel she is always on top of her field and up to date with the latest development in her field.
Dr. Hannekin is always on the cutting edge of her field. She always explains what she is doing and cares very much for the patient's welfare She is kind and thoughtful. If you have her as your doctor, you are one of the lucky ones. I highly recommend her. Ed Friedlein
She is professional but friendly. Listens to your concerns and answers your questions, Has a resolution or suggestion to remedy any problem.
I've been going to Retina Consultants since 2001. With Dr. Hanneken as prime for the last few years. I'd highly recommend.
