My husband canceled is contract and he was never presented with a contract to sign. Then we he thought that all was settled they started billing him again after handing over their belongings in October 2023. They restarted charging him for ******* and February. Then when he went to have it sorted out they told him the account was put on hold which he was never told. The manager of the Anytime Fitness located at ********************************************************************************** is named *************************. He refuses to answer the phone, return voicemails, respond to emails. When I wanted to cancel he would only accept a cancellation in written letter. I sent that to him. Then he refused to cancel my membership and sent my account to collections. DO NOT SIGN A GYM MEMBERSHIP WITH ANYTIME FITNESS ANYWHERE!!!!

Employee that signed me up for membership blatantly lied about it, saying I could cancel at any time. Calling the parent company, *** Fitness, has resulted in nothing being done and being told my membership cannot be cancelled, despite having actual reason to cancel, such as living more than 15 miles away from the nearest gym with proof provided.

A zero if possible. I moved away from this gym 6 months ago and asked politely over the phone if my membership could be canceled, I was then instructed to wait out my contract which I thought was reasonable, after the contract ended I continued to call again and cancel, at which point I was then told I would have to send a PHYSICAL LETTER to Arizona in order to do this I have called other branches which say that this is not necessary or standard and that this cancelation should not have been an issue. I have been a member of Anytime Fitness, *****, **. ***** for 13+ years. There have been several owners during this time. The new owner, Bandon Fitness, is the only owner to take away services. They are obviously not familiar with small town America or senior citizens. Owning a business should not be just about making money. **************** is also important. Senior citizens need classes for movement and stretching to help live a longer life. They have taken this away from their clients.

They are fraudulently putting people in contracts and extending terms against members consent. The ********** ****** gym has cockroaches and a bad bug infestation.

This is the place to go to if youre looking to waste money! Ive been trying to cancel the contact that Ive been locked into for 3 years now. They told me I have 1 year left and its 500+ that I owe the. Its ridiculous that they wont help you terminate a membership other than accepting Dr. exemptions and if you live 26+ miles away from the nearest AF.I signed this contract during the $1 dollar down promotion without knowing that I was going to be stuck in this situation for 4 years! I was paying for 2 key fobs to access the gym and signed a 1 year contract beginning December 2019 and terminating January 2021. Between the months of November 2020 and January ***** I was contacting the Anytime Fitness Gym Manager at the location the agreement originated. Informing that I would not renew past the agreement end date and inquiring what was necessary in order to cancel.
