1 star only because i cant choose 0. My membership is UP. Therefore the contract IS DONE. I call to tell them I was canceling. They proceeded to tell me I needed to pay for another 30 days. They also proceeded to withdraw money from my account. I used my membership 3 times the whole year. Paying 80.00 a month. My husband didn't use his at all. Also paying 80.00 per month. I have been a member for exactly 9 days now, 4 of which I've actually came to the gym to work out. In the short period of time being there I have noticed the lack of care in anything in this gym. The kettle bells have rust all over them, the floors are broken and a safety risk, equipment needs upholstery, weights are missing chunks out of them. Do not get a membership at this place. They raised my fee without notification. And have been doing so for the last 8 months. I canceled my membership three months ago. I am now getting phone calls daily from their collection agency. Corporate does not return phone calls this is an absolute nightmare

On June 15, 2022 I was visiting your facility on a work trip. I was informed at this facility that I could utilize a 3-month agreement as long as I pay the 1st payment + 5 biweekly payments of $31.99($35.19 actual total) thereafter. I was also told there was no need for any written notice since it was only going to last for 3 months. I wanted to join for 3 months until I could apply for silver sneakers, through Medicare. The manager told me to sign up for 3 yrs as the pmt would be less and I could cancel anytime! (I now assume it was because I’d be changing to SS) When the time came open enrollment I found out that because of a cancer diagnosis the previous May, I was stuck with the program I had. This business is corrupt!!! Same issue I am seeing in all these reviews. I tried to cancel my membership as a gym closer opened up. When I joined in October of 2022 the gym manager in Ocala fl gave me a form I signed and stated I could cancel anytime without reason and pay a small fee. When I tried to cancel in Jan 2023 they told me my contract was null in void without even any written document of new rules and I sure didn’t sign anything new. THIS IS THE WORST BUSINESS TO SIGN UP WITH. DO NOT DO IT. There is zero flexibility to cancel membership, no one staffs the gyms even during staffed hours, and there is no accountability. I am also specifically talking about the ************, **** location. There is zero accountability, urgency and customer service. I have been trying to cancel my membership since September. They sugar coat the agreements making it sound like you can cancel membership but then when you need the membership to stop due to disability they aren't available at the location and they do not answer phone to freeze membership. I have not used their services or ****************** I didn't want to begin with.

I was a member at Anytime fitness for about 2 years. Over the past 2 years they have changed their staff/ managers quite a lot over the past 2 years I was a member. In June of 2022, I talked to a manager named **** and asked if I can cancel my membership since it was then on a month-to-month contract that year after signing a "mandatory" $50/per month for my 1st year contract.
