My husband is a resident here. The place has growing pains but the executive director is top notch and addresses all concerns immediately. The medical staff is mostly very professional and does wonderful job. So does the girls who shower and dress my husband. The place is immaculate and the girls at the front desk when you enter are great.
It was very comfortable, and a wonderful experience for my loved one. I would recommend it. The staff was friendly, and that was most important to us. It was Covid times, but there were still plenty of activities.
Atria Norwood has been wonderful, it has been such a good experience so far. The staff members are excellent, and the give excellent care services. They are all very friendly and very accommodating. They communicate with our family all the time, especially during covid they were constantly sending us emails, texts with pictures of our loved one. They also would call us immediately if something came up.
My mother has been at the facility for almost five months. One of the most important aspects for my mother was the food. When she first arrived, she was not happy with the portions (for a small lady she has an enormous appetite) and the type of food being served. The chef spent time with my mom to understand her needs and wants and now she is happy with her meals. My mom has been at the Atria Norwood for 3 months. It is a warm, loving environment. She is always happy when we visit, and she tells us how good everyone is to her. The staff is caring and always available to us, sending pictures and sharing what she is doing. We are so happy we found the ATRIA! A special shout out to [names removed] for always going the extra mile. You ladies are the best!!
The community is super friendly. It is beautiful and clean. They are a little disorganized, but the people in their hearts take really good care of the residents. You have to be on top or train the staff and then they are fine with the newly placed residents. Once you are in they are good. In the beginning it is a little rough, you have to be watchful of what they are doing.
The activities provided weren't living up to what we expected, our loved ones enjoyed the food. She was living in a joint room, that shared a bathroom but had separate bedrooms. it was nice and sunny, it had a nice view overlooking the flowers.
It is a very stressful time when you have to ask one of your loved ones to go to a new home. My brother and I, who reside outside of NJ, went on a mission to find a great place for our Aunt. We looked all over and were lucky enough to have found Atria Norwood. Not only is it great looking and well kept facility, the people that work there are top notch. Atria has been great especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. The staff is amazing. They have been trying to keep the spirits up with the residents and the communication level they have had with the families has been unbelievable. They even created an app so we could monitor my mother-in-law's vitals from home.
