HarborChase is NOT a retirement community. IT IS A FIVE-STAR LUXURY RESORT HOTEL THAT OFFERS ASSISTED LIVING AND MEMORY CARE. OMG! Words can't describe our experience. Harborchase is a wonderful facility. The entertainment, quality of life, and food are all excellent! All if the staff I have met seem to be very compassionate and caring. 10/10 would recommend.

Mom is adjusting to living st HC. The biggest complaint is the food they are being served. One evening a few weeks ago they had beef with a sickly looking green sauce. No one and I mean no one at her table ate the dinner. Also when we can, we try to bring her downstairs to the restaurant so she has a choice. Again at a recent visit I ordered a Apple Waldorf salad. HaborChase is brand new and exquisite. That said, as we were touring the property, it twists and turns and I found myself wondering where I was. I can imagine my mother going out for a walk and becoming lost in the halls. The rooms are gorgeous. Price wise, it's a little on the high side for us at this time.

It is a difficult decision for a family to place a loved one into memory care once their dementia has progressed. We chose Harbor Chase based upon the atmosphere and caring staff, unfortunately it is very expensive and additional costs keep coming up. Just another example of an industry that prays upon the elderly and their family's emotions during trying times.

I am an RN and my Dad lived with us for 7 years. It became unsafe for him at home and it was decided that he had to be placed in a memory care facility due to Dementia. It was the hardest decision my family had to make. Harbor Chase provided a unit that we had not encounter- the SOUND. This unit was in between ADL and memory care and was perfect for Dad. Arbor Terrace is a beautiful place but I cannot recommend it. It is very expensive. The care is lacking because of small staff. My wife was expelled for trying to get out. We were told she had to leave and while my wife had covid. So I had to move her to the Hospital until we found another facility. I was never comfortable with this place. They required that I hire extra person just to watch her.

A lot of the original staff that was good is gone. There is a lack of compassion and care among the care partners. Very slow response times when asking for help. Care partners give you attitude and they manage themselves. Overnight shift will leave your loved one in danger. I have witnessed up to an hour to answer a call for help. Repeated complaints to management have gone unheard. For fear, I am moving my loved one out. Don’t let the pretty pictures fool you, especially the pictures of elegant meals that I have never seen
