Food was very overpriced, steak was average at best with minimal flavor, and sides had no flavor at all.
We had an Open Table rewards gift card to use for our restaurant. The reward value was worth up to $110, based on the time that the reservation occurs (reservations at prime dinning hours are worth less than those at less desired hours). We chose the 6pm reservation time because it maximized our reward to $110 according to Open Table. We had reservations, I told the lady at the front desk an alternate phone number to call since my mobile phone was not with me. She typed in the alternate phone number and said it was taken care of. Yet, after waiting a super long time, my husband went to check on our reservation as it was taking much too long with a reservation, and our table was ready on the porch where it was extremely loud and uncomfortable. Could use a little more light at the tables. Hard to see what we were eating
They were 30 minutes late for reservation. Hostesses were incompetent and one down right rude. Everyone was dressed nicely in restaurant but we were greeted by hostesses in revealing tops like a beach bar who were clearly inexperienced. Waiter was very good but food only fair and costly. I will not go back.
Very disappointing visit. We’ve eaten at Arnette’s lots of times, but it’ll be a while until we come back, if at all. Chopped salad was overdressed, soggy lettuce and obviously pre-made too far in advance (also, they couldn’t eliminate the olives). The tuna tartare was watery. The Dover sole was hidden under some greens and assorted salad which absorbed the salad flavors (like grape tomatoes and more olives), the onion rings and French fries were soggy and limp, as were the Brussels sprouts. I frequent restaurants weekly. I did not enjoy my experience. The facility is nice and clean. My experience was not return worthy.
Restaurant could not figure out how to process our OpenTable gift card.
Service was poor. Server arrived and immediately asked for our dinner order. I had to ask to order a cocktail. She also did not tell us about food specials.
