Servers need a little bit more of experience. Food was not that good
The food was completely underwhelming, zero seasoning on any of the many dishes we had- makes no sense
We had a great server, Deb. My husband loves the lobster pasta. It was great. I tried the shrimp de jonghe. It was fair. I found it quite oily. I didn’t expect a Cajun take on it. My broccoli was ridiculously expensively and again not what I expected. I read the description but it was covered with a thick cream sauce. It was very disappointing. A shame to waste such amazing service and ambience on what turned out to be a mediocre food experience. The proteins were all a click above ok and the sides were just not good. It was a jammed service, so maybe the kitchen was having an off night.
I think this place is losing its luster. When they called to confirm my reservation, they wanted me to know they don’t do separate checks and I can’t bring in outside food or drinks. I thought that was very random. What kind of clientele brings in food and drinks to a restaurant? Has this been a problem for them recently? Great service but food was well below average especially given prices. I was very disappointed
Apparently they had a power outage. They neglected to call any of their reservations. So, after taking a $30 Uber to the restaurant, we were cavalierly met by a manager who informed us they were closed. No real apology. No effort to contact any reservations. In fact, they were quite defensive, and offered a multitude of excuses. For the record, it's pretty easy to get Open Table to email you a PDF of your reservations from which they could have had the courtesy to call their guests to inform them of the situation.
The lobster spagetti is probably the best think on the menu.
If we're paying hundreds of dollars for an arranged birthday meal, WHY were we sat in the "garage" area when the dining room sat empty? The ambiance was a total turnoff, the food tasted worse than we make at home. TOTALLY UNDERWHELMED.
