The restaurant was completely overwhelmed by the NYE crowd. Even with reservations, that I confirmed the same day. I was initially told by the valet parkers, they were out of room, and I considered leaving; but then they seemed to reconsider and took my car. Then the hostess told us we would have to wait for at least 15 minutes for our table, and seemed on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Food was average and mass produced. This place seem to cater to the geriatric crowd, and is also badly in need of a face lift.
Was very disappointed in the food. What i mean is, I ordered the Chilean Bass. It was only luke warm, almost cold. The potatoes the same along with the vegetable as well. The Sea bass was maybe 3 to 4 oz. For $85.00 per person, i believe it was an rip off. Maybe this is because of it being New Years eve, but still doesn't matter. I was so looking forward to a wonderful meal and good time that i remembered from the earlier days of Arthur's.
Disappointed that we weren’t told about prix fixe menu for NYE when we made reservation. And $5.00 for a glass of milk for a kid?
We enjoyed everything about our first visit to Arthur’s, except for the heavy sewer gas smell in the ladies restroom.
Food all come out of the kitchen barely warm and waiter was very low energy and, honestly, bordered on being rude. Was disappointed to say the least.
We have always been impressed with the cuisine, and that lead us to choose Arthur's for Thanksgiving. The food was not up to their usual standards, and the service was not as attentive as usual. I understand that they were busier than usual, but it is unfortunate that they didn't anticipate that so as not to give us a less than usual experience.
I was at Arthur's for Thanksgiving and it was terrible. The Lobster and Crab Cake was delicious. The red snapper entree was dry, grey and had spent a lot of time in the freezer. I sent it back and didn't replace it. The pecan pie which I believe was brought in from an outside bakery was also very good. The principle entree was inedible. This was once a quality place to eat with quality food. I'm guessing they lost their chef.
Wee Very disappointed. Must have a new chef, as long time favorite menu dishes have changed to disappointing. Service was non-existent. It took over three hours to complete our meal. We are long time fans, but this visit was a huge set back.
Arthur’s used to be my favorite steak house years ago for the food and old school vibe. I was determined to give them the benefit of the doubt, but my last few visits have been disappointing to say the least. No longer are the waiters career waiters that make you feel like you’re part of an inner circle, rather they are dismissive, unattentive and downright rude. I’v been blatantly ignored by a bartender, who refused to ask if I wanted to order, and rather stood in front of me and cleaned glasses and attended to other people... read more
