Tried Arthur’s for the first time. It’s a couple blocks from my house and really convenient to get to. The reception was warm. The service amazing. The serving staff alternated and made sure patrons were well taken care of. They were very attentive yet they gave you time to enjoy the company of guests. The disappointment came with the food. Waiter got order wrong twice and steak wasn’t cooked properly band vernacular sauce came late and cold
The food was subpar considering the price. The restaurant itself needs to be remodeled/upgraded. Overall it wasn’t terrible... but not great either.
Dinner was ok, service was ok could have been better but when the check came they charged an $11 service fee for using our credit card and tried to blame it on COVID. As if now credit cards have COVID fees. I’ve been dining for the last year during COVID and this is the first time ever experiencing a crazy upcharge like this. If your costs have gone up then raise the price of the entre but don’t throw in crazy fees. Won’t be back
We were there for my parents anniversary and it took 3 hours to get our meals. Nothing was comped and nothing was offered as compensation for the terrible meal.
The server seemed to be a bit confused initially but he got it together at the end. It was as if he thought we couldn’t afford the menu at first. He brought out a cocktail menu for a table of four people. No wine list. Then later asked “shall I bring the dinner menus?” We came there for great steak and lamb dinners as always with bottles of wine. People were everywhere and tables right next to each other violating 6 feet protection poetical
This place has gone downhill. We were greeted with just an awful odor when we walked in. My colleagues and I deduced it may be from the fish tanks, which to be honest are off putting. Service is always good, but the food was just mediocre. This place needs a major facelift and it has been permanently removed from our rotation while in Dallas for business. It’s a shame it just isn’t for us anyMore.
Food was delicious and the ambience was great, but we were disturbed and quite put off by the tall male waiter who, for whatever reason, did not feel the need to keep his ask on while serving us and reaching and leaning over the table to set our food down. I observed all other wait staff and host donned in masks, so my belief was that he was expected to wear his as well.
