My granddaughter was told she needed 2 wisdom teeth extracted, 2 root canals, cleaning, xrays, gingivitis treatment. Over $4000. Her insurance company WAS NOT CONTACTED for their prior approval of these services. Instead, the lady at Apen Dental told my granddaughter that she would have to pay out of pocket, and signed her up for financing with Dental First. FRAUD!!! Aspen Dental has several hundred offices nationwide, and they settled on a class action lawsuit in 2010 for assorted issues- overcharging among them. Link h... read more

I had a experience today that I would not wish on anyone I had a bad tooth that was cracked and became abcess I have been in alot of pain so I made an appointment with and dentist I have never seen been to before because I just wanted them pulled and done with well when the dentist started putting the numbing medication in instead of numbing my mouth the numbing meds went into the abscessed part of my mouth and started to create and extreme pressure and pain the dentist then explained to me that the only way to stop the pain... read more

RecommendedSo last Tuesday, the Aspen Dental clinic in Columbia MO got me in for a last minute appointment. Originally when all my dental issues started, I went to the Jefferson City office because Columbia couldn’t get me in. I will say that during my visit at the Jeff City Office wasn’t bad, but after my appointment in Columbia I won’t be returning to the Jeff City location. AVOID!! People were nice, but that's the only good thing I can say for this place. My girlfriend and I are newer to the area and looking for a new dentist. We decided to give aspen a chance and I regret it. We had some simple check ups and came back a month or so later to do some more in depth procedures, cleaning etc. I pay my part, my girlfriend pays hers, we pay what is due at the time and our insurance covers the rest.... I only write this review in hopes to control anyone else’s expectations. My first visit was the “consultation” visit and it was so wonderful all I could do was tell everybody I knew. They asked the question on my 1st departure if I “felt respected and heard today?” nice. When the actual work began, I was so traumatized I feel the obligation to warn others. I would not recommend Aspen Dental to anyone. My Father suffers from dementia and I took him in to be evaluated for some major work. After sitting in the waiting room for 2 hours, he finally came out with a 9000.00 dollar bill. I asked about it and was quickly escorted back into a room to "discuss" the bill. After I made the comment of "No way in Hell" then suddenly two more quotes surfaced each lower than the one before. No one should wait this long in a dentist office! I was slightly early for my 9:30 appt. noticed the waiting room was a little full but chocked it up to lots of dentists=lots of patients. I was told at the desk that she was going to tell the hygienist that I was there and I sat down. An hour later I went back to the desk where they seemed genuinely surprised that I was still there. I need it to have a tooth pulled went to Aspen Dental they said sit down we got you they pulled my tooth didn't hurt much had to take no antibiotics had to take no pain pills all is well that ends well thank you Aspen Dental and that's all I have to say about that.
