Went for a filling, got complete other opinion..they said my insurence covered 100% but then told me out of pocket still 200 so that's not 100% alot of steps ate not communicated at all. Terrible communication and process.

I figured I would try the new location. They first called me at 2pm trying to get me to reschedule my appointment at 4pm. To which i asked why do I need two hours. I agreed and asked is it covered by my insurance which they hadn't checked. They called back and said it was covered. I said ok and came in at 4pm instead of 5pm. I should have known when they said two hours it would be a problem visit. I thought when I scheduled a checkup it includes the X-ray and scans. Boy was I wrong. I called to schedule an appointment for a general cleaning. I went in they took x-rays which I gave them my previous dentist information because I just had recent x-rays they told me it was free. Then I got a very long exam when I asked about cleaning they said it would come after. The cleaning never happened. They then took me up to a receptionist who told me my cleaning would cost $994 I asked about Insurance And they said out-of-pocket would cost me $535 out-of-pocket. I had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience at the new Aspen Dental in Morton Grove today. My appointment was just supposed to be for a check-up and a cleaning. My radar started to go off when the dental assistant told me that she was going to do a "beauty scan" of my teeth, which is basically a 3-D image of my smile. After that, the dental hygienist came in and looked at my teeth.
