My mother stayed here for two weeks specifically for physical therapy. The physical therapists at this facility are wonderful and have really made a huge difference in my mother's health. The head of nursing was very helpful and informative. I did meet some very nice staff members, however some seemed less than enthusiastic about performing the duties that they are being paid to do. Where do I even begin? Is it with the fact that they continued to serve my mom pork even though she repeatedly told them she was a Muslim and pork was not religiously acceptable. We had meetings and agreements to serve her workable alternatives which nobody executed on. I took it upon myself to bring in food some my mom could eat because she was not able to eat the food they had on their menu but even that was too difficult to manage. My husband had knee replacement surgery and needed additional time for rehab. The facility is clean, the food good, most of the staff is great. My big complaint, as a spouse, is their covid regulations. I had to have an appointment to see my husband, and if you don't get one, you may not get to see your loved one...or maybe 4 hours later if that time suits them. This account was created for two purposes, share an experience, and at the request of their social service worker. I would strongly advise you conduct a lot of research before going with any facility, but in my case, our loved one was sent by Kaiser so our family could not research them in advance. Beware they will make you feel confident in their capabilities, and will give you a hard sell on how great they are and kindness will be oozing out of their pores. What you have here it's Foothill Oaks Care Center that has been renamed Auburn Oaks Care Center. This is the same disgusting criminally negligent Convalescent Center that it's always been. I don't where are these supposedly wonderful reviews came from but I'm highly suspicious because I was just there to see my father and I'll be leaving shortly even though it's 10: 45 p. M. My grandpa had Alzheimer's and was here. They did not care for him. Didnt feed him. They always seemed understaffed. My grandma got regular daily calls to come take care of him. So what is the point of paying for people to help care for your loved one if they are constantly calling for my grandma to do it? Avoid this place at all costs. You don't want your loved one here.
