I don't know how this place can call itself an aquarium. It is a joke. It is at best, a roadside attraction, not an aquarium. It is at worst, selling "animal encounters" but actually exploiting animals, again, not an aquarium. It is a dirty, dingy playground with a cheap "mermaid" singing Disney songs, not an aquarium. Had I been able to see past the front door when entering, I wouldn't have bought the tickets, which by the way was $60 for a family of just 3. My 6 y/o son asked "why are there capybaras? they don't live in th... read more
Hands down the best aquarium/zoo that I've been to. What looks like a pet shop from the outside is actually a great experience. Some of the animals wander around in the crowd like the iguanas, ducks, tortoises, and parrots. My friend and I paid extra for tokens that allowed us into the lemur's habit for a live experience where they were jumping on top of us and we can pet them in their enclosure. It was so worth it!!!
Went here when visiting a friend in Austin a few weeks ago. I'm not sure aquarium is the right name for it but we enjoyed it so much! We got to hang out with lemurs and feed sting rays and triple huge shout out to Ryan for giving us the coolest Sloth interaction. It's a little pricey to do the interactions but completely worth it if you can swing it.
Was kind of excited to visit this place since we were visiting Austin and we were satisfied and somewhat disappointed. Disappointed because it was way smaller than I thought so our tour was within 30mins or less because none of my teenage kids wanted to feed anything. I was satisfied because they had a lot of fun things to do such as petting and feeding the sea creatures and the animals. You can buy these tokens at the cashiers and use them to buy food. There are a lot of cool creatures and tons of opportunities to take pict... read more
Do not go! The amount of people they allow in that small space is horrible. They allow a large amount of kids and adults to touch the animals, feed the animals, and be around them in such a confined place. The animal areas were dirty, you could tell they don't clean their water or areas very often, and the otters were playing with a dead roach. It was the worst experience ever. I felt so sad for those animals. You couldn't walk around freely because they were so many people.
Animal abuse. Toads and snakes in cages the size of half a shoe box not enough room to extend their bodies
Insanely overpriced, weird vibe. I took 4 kids there. ($80) Then you buy "tokens" that are used to buy food for the animals or go in their areas. It starts at $14 for 5 tokens. I bought 10 tokens ($27). A small Gatorade is $4. (Of course, there are no water fountains.) Lots of junk you can buy, all overpriced. No refunds on unused tokens. My kids wanted to see the lemurs, which is 4 tokens per person. So I bought 10 more tokens (another $27) and we waited for 40 minutes for them to be able to see the lemurs. Then I was ... read more
Marcus was patient and had the best attitude. He helped me find the best fitting package for my family. We had so much fun feeding the different animals and got to pet everything from sharks to silkies! Thanks Marcus for making sure we knew the best parts of the fun attractions.
I honestly wish I had never gone to this place. The tanks honestly look filthy, and some looked way too small for the animals that resided in them. The tortoise also was in the corner hiding against a trash can with a balloon tied to its back (which in itself seemed in poor taste given the fact that plastics/micro plastics are known to kill marine life). The whole thing just feels like a money grab, with no real effort made towards education and conservation.
