Fantastic festive atmosphere. Great food.
A most-certainly cozy restaurant for a chilly winter evening. Relatively quiet, with nice ambience, a vibrating floor in the lounge, and enchanting Wind and the Willows theme adorning the walls and decor. Staff are okay, the head waitress was a bit abrupt, but barman and main waitress were cool. Xmas food was a bit sparse and unsatisfying. For the price paid I didn't walk away satisfied. Despite booking and requesting a table in the restaurant we were offered the table between the bar and restaurant... given that it was the week before Christmas and everywhere was extremely busy a table beside the bar overspill was unacceptable. After refusing we were indeed sat in the restaurant... can’t complain about the food thankfully
Vibration from basement air con was pretty unbearable. No mention when booking or on arrival. Like eating whilst sitting on a vibrating plate - you had to experience it to believe it. If it hadn’t been for that we’d probably have loved it although I think it’s needing a wee bit more micro management to turn it into something really special.
