Service was excellent and did not feel hurried to vacate table. Food very hot and well cooked. Drinks also timely and well served. Very good city centre restaurant
A lovely, historic, building. Polite and attentive staff. Lovely food and wine
The day unfortunately had heavy snow which undoubtedly put people going out so it was quiet in the restaurant. We had a table for 4 in the window which provides a lovely elevated location above the street for people watching - this is the centre of Edinburgh and would normally be quite busy in the evening. Service was pleasant and the food reasonable - it is not superb cuisine but good value.
10/10 loved it. Would definitely go back - beautiful restaurant with lovely food and staff get it just right.
Recommended by a friend and loved it! Went early at 6pm and it was nice and quite, meal was reasonable including a bottle of wine and the most delicious food! Already encouraged friends to go, would love to go back for Sunday dinner.
Really good, great food, atmosphere and ambience. Menu, interesting and different - Venison was great !!
Everything was wonderful but the waitresses could have been a bit more knowledgeable about the drink menus. Also the heat was on WAY too high. Besides those two things, it was w wonderful delicious experience
Birthday dinner, taking advantage of special offers. Enjoyable meal with drinks. Relaxed atmosphere with good service. Desserts wonderful
The food was incredible and great value. the toad cocktail was my favourite part of the night although the pork belly came a close second! service unfortunately was terribly slow and unattentive. the waiters were polite but not enough of them to give a good service unfortunately, really let the experience down. Lovely menu and decor and general ambience.
