Hi Eric, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We really appreciate you visiting Badger & Co. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide an even better experience next time. Team Bagder
We ate there twice actually while in Edinburgh. Food is very flavorful and an upgrade from typical Scottish food. I had a chicken dish that was delicious and the 2nd time the beef pie. Very good as well. We did the tomato with whipped feta - try it! And the beef carripoccia (so?) appetizer also very good! Didnt get to dessert - too full! Ambiance is cozy and quirky with the whole badger theme. Lastly, reasonably priced.
Business response:
Marianne, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review! We’re thrilled that you enjoyed Badger & Co enough to visit us twice during your time in Edinburgh. It’s fantastic to hear that you loved the chicken dish, beef pie, whipped feta and tomato, and our beef carpaccio! We’re also delighted that you enjoyed our cozy, quirky badger themed atmosphere and found us to be reasonably priced. It sounds like you’ll just have to come back for dessert next time! 😉 We’d love to welcome you back again on you... read more
The food was good and fresh. Not enough help to order and serve.
Business response:
Hi Joan, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us! We’re so pleased you enjoyed the food and found it fresh. We’re sorry the service was a little slower than you would have liked and that there wasn’t enough help available at the time. We always strive to give all our guests the care and attention they deserve, so it’s a shame we fell short on this occasion. We really appreciate your understanding and hope to welcome you back again soon for an even better experience! Team Badger
Smaller menu choice but the meals were very good. We didnt have a starter, but the pie fish and chips and monkfish were very good. Pricing was also very reasonable and staff attentive.
Business response:

We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Badger & Co for another enjoyable visit very soon! Team Badger
Very beautiful space but the food was overpriced and pretty mediocre for the cost. Steak was dry and tiny, roast was mostly fat and very tough, and definitely was a disappointing choice for a Sunday supper we had looked forward to.
Business response:
Hi Chris, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your Sunday dinner didn’t live up to expectations, particularly when it was a meal you had been looking forward to. It’s disappointing to hear that the steak and roast fell short, and we’re sorry that you felt the food didn’t offer the value you expected. We genuinely wish you had brought this to our attention during your visit, as we would have been more than happy to address the issues with your meal and do what we could to put thing... read more
The place was lovely but it took 15 minutes to get our 2 drinks brought to us on a Wednesday night the burger looked good but the bacon on top was all soggy fat the sticky toffee pudding was short of a ingredient, staff were nice enough .
Business response:
Stuart, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased to hear you found the place lovely and that our team were friendly. We’re sorry, though, that the wait for your drinks was longer than expected and that the burger and sticky toffee pudding weren’t up to standard. We appreciate your feedback and hope we can welcome you back for a much better experience. Team Bagder

Food was great, service wasn’t great in the beginning but midway through dinner servers changed and service became excellent.
Business response:
Xaviera, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re sorry that the start of your visit didn’t quite live up to expectations - that’s certainly not the experience we aim to provide. We’re glad we were able to turn things around for you, and even happier to hear that you enjoyed the food! We really appreciate your understanding and hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back again soon. Team Badger
We were looking forward to the advertised Wind in the Willows theme but the restaurant doesn't really offer that. There were some surrealist photos of forest animal heads on human figures and a big neon sign above our table, and dance music, more suited to a cocktail bar. The cocktail we ordered was quite tasteless, the glass full mostly of very large ice cubes. The food was good, for the most part, but the sticky toffee pudding was a burnt brick. Badger & Co is an expensive restaurant £85 for two people, having one drink eac... read more

Azza, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t live up to your expectations, particularly as the Wind in the Willows connection was the main reason you chose to visit us. We do try to keep the connection subtle, with hidden gems throughout the restaurant, along with the audiobook in the toilets and the Wind in the Willows cartoon playing on the TV. We’re sorry these details didn’t create the experience you were hoping for. We appreciate your comments on the musi... read more
