The staff were lovely and happy to help, so the review isn't a reflection on them at all. Unfortunately we chose Badger & Co for the advertised Sunday roast. While the meat was good, the rest of the dish was pretty disappointing. The Yorkshire pudding was particularly bad - I've literally seen more height on a pancake! Overall an average meal and wouldn't head back.

Such a brilliant experience every time. This is upmarket, but affordable and the staff are friendly and kind. The menu is great, lots of interesting choices and decent options for vegans and vegetarians. The drinks menu is broad and has lots of cocktails, wines and spirits. The decor is lovely, lots of clever Wind in the Willows nods to look for.

At 1315 we were told the ‘soup wasn’t ready yet?’ Idle of lunch time? Then ‘run out’ of skimmed and semi skimmed milk for coffee? really? Service was slow as we had to cancel coffee in the end as was taking too long and all had trains to catch. Probably won’t be back.

Loved it. Only thing that brought the score down was requested no choc sauce on ice cream and both arrived with sauce. That was the only very small problem. Staff all very pleasant and food lovely.

This is quite a limited menu which is great, well normally it is great. Service normally quite good but a few disappointing items this time. With such a small menu and it not being an overly busy evening at least not when compared to other evenings I have visited I would rrally question how do you run out of one of the staple menu dishes.. no burgers available tonight. The steak and haggis pie while lovely, no haggis in it at all. Why not just tell people before they order that there is no haggis. I heard others also mention... read more
