a very samll place, too crowed, too noise, the adminstraion is very unclearly about discarge procedure. It is not good place to rest and recovry after the surgry. The building is too old.

We pride ourselves on being a small facility as it allows our nurses to focus on a smaller number of patients and provide the best care. We made the mistake of choosing Bel Vista by assuming that it being "In Network", our insurance had vetted them. ALWAYS TOUR BEFORE making your choice. The building is old, which in itself should not be a factor, but minimal lighting and dark colors give the effect of being dirty although it is NOT. A lot of rooms have three beds with only about 28 inches between them. Patient was prescribed a CPAP machine to be used while sleeping due to low blood Oxygen levels. I usually don't take the time to give my opinion about certain stuff, but this time I must because it is important that our public should be aware how unprofessional one of the physical therapist was with my 75yr old Mother who had open heart surgery and was forced to do things that she was not capable. she was only there for one week and I had to get her out of there!! .. Other staff members did not give her the care either. There was no one that cared for these Seniors. Makes me sad. Marcia D.

Horrific. I lost my sweet mother I believe because of the incompetence of the attending doctors. Many of the staff are kind And caring but others in management are absolutely incompetent. Be very careful placing your lover one At this facility. I hope they close permanently. To be fair it was a year ago. Maybe they have bee owners and management but I Doubt it.
My family had such a HORRIBLE experience that we would NEVER recommend this facility to anyone. My healthy 94 year old mother was admitted to Bel Vista to recover from hip fracture surgery. We did not pick this facility. It was forced upon us by the hospital who surprised us with a forthwith discharge order and refused to allow us the time to select a facility of our own choosing. WARNING: I lost my sweet mother at this facility due to what I believe was medical negligence. There is a current investigation taking place conducted by the Department of Health Care Services. -Be careful leaving any loved at this place.
One star rating is too much . This is one of the most unprofessional places I've ever been to in my life . The nurses and help are VERY nonchalant. They take their time doing everything. There's no sense of urgency even when a patient is yelling out to them because they NEVER answer the bell. They make it seem like it's too much work just for them to do what they're paid for. Well, this place may seem warm, and fuzzy and comfortable. And maybe it is if you are a female patient. It seems is if they are only able to handle a few men because most of the rooms are full of women, and so when one gets discharged, they can only bring in another female patient. We made the mistake of putting my father-in-law in this place because we thought is was small and they would pay more attention to him.
