Sat for almost 20 min in a restaurant with may be two other tables, no waitress/waiter no water nothing since I was seated But the manager and serving staff was in a humorous convo maybe 4 yards from me instead of waiting on the customer that had not been served or waited on. Hands down the absolute worst dining experience I've ever had. Waitress came by to take our order after about 10 minutes of waiting. My friends ordered the breakfast buffet and half the stuff up there was gross either reheated and dry or cold. My girlfriend ordered a waffle and it was cold and soggy when it finally got to the table after about 30 minutes. Went there with my nephew from England. What an embarrassment. Coffee was warm at best, and had to ask twice for cream. Good took forever and was warm. With 5 waitresses on duty, we had to look at 6 tables with dirty dishes for over 30 minutes. I would fire the entire staff starting with the manager, if there is one. My advice is stay away.
Food ok but way over priced. Waitresses pay no attention to you, and the managers could care less. Especially the older one. I believe her name is Kathy She's not a bit friendly and doesn't know how to talk to her employees.. maybe time to retire. Also had my kids with me 11 and 14 daughters and 13 year old son. Apparently these"waitresses" thought it was ok to talk about a 3 some they had with a friend. RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY KIDS!!!! Way to stay classy big boy!! Im done spending my money here!!
This place is so dirty!!!!!!! Food quality has gone down hill over the years and service is slow. Slow to pay for bill, and staff can not seem to manage even small numbers of customers. The only reason they get 1 star is for their shakes other than that Cadillac Big Boy is a disaster and over priced disappointment.
Service was slow, we pretty much did not even have anyone to wait on us. Pop was brought to us, and that was it. No orders were even asked about even though we were just having the salad bar. Salad bar was small and nothing was refilled and the soup tasted old. I was very ill after I left. Never going here again.
We were on our way to Traverse City for a family vacation and stopped here for dinner. The service was very slow, even thought the place was almost empty. The food looked good, but didn't taste very good. I ordered unlimited alfredo with a side of Mac-n-cheese. The noodles were not cooked fully, and the pasta sauces were too salty. The mac n cheese looked and tasted like someone had melted velveeta and mixed it with it, and the Alfredo sauce was runny. I'm an out-of-towner, but I know my Big Boy restaurant. It's a staple food back in Cincinnati. So when I saw there was a BigBoy off the exit on my way to the UP, I had to make my bf pull over. I was extremely disappointed in my chili. I don't know if they have a different supplier up here in MI, but all I can use to describe it is "goopy". On separate occasions I've had sickening experiences. The salad bar has had molding food. A friend of mine was brought rice that was moving with maggots. I should have called the health department. This place needs to be shut down and bulldozed. Please do not eat here and do not support an operation that is so careless, filthy, and lacks any kind of standard. Absolutely unacceptable and very serious problems here.
