Don't waste your time or money! 3 of us went to get a late dinner at 8:25pm on a Tuesday night. There were 2 waitresses, 1 hostess/bus boy, cook and manager. Only a table of 8 and a table of 4 in the whole restaurant. We ordered, and after 1/2 hour waitress came over and said sorry for the long wait but a large table (8) came in just before you and it shouldn't be much longer. My bad review is only for the service from the hostesses. We had a hour wait before we were seated. The hostess first told us they would seat us when the larger tables of 2 left. She would 1st seat the party of 2 the seat us. While we continue to wait the hostess seat several parties of 2. We continued to wait. Then we asked another hostess if we could split up our group. Idk even know where to start. We had just got into town and we're headed grocery shopping and decided to stop in before grocery shopping. If we were smart we would of left before even being seated it took about 7 minutes to be acknowledged and 10 to be seated which instead of someone stepping up and seating us we had to wait for the host too finish what looked like checking the date on change in the drawer to see if there was any rare coins in the drawer then another 10 minutes for someone to come over. Visiting from Metro Detroit over the 4th of July weekend. Waited about 5 mins for a host to even appear at the stand. Sat down and waited about 15 mins, no one ever came. Table in front of was sat at the same time we did, and were able to order drink and food. A busser was cleaning the table behind us and I asked her if we could get some waters. First time ever at a Big Boy restaurant. After ordering lunch, we can easily say it doesn't live up to any hype. The burgers for a diner style restaurant were awful. We would order McDonald's before ever trying them again. Appetizer was overcooked and hard. Burger looked like a cheaply made Big Mac. The service was great but the food was not up to par.
DO NOT PLACE AN ONLINE ORDER HERE! Unless you want it 30 to 45 minutes after the time you scheduled it for. I scheduled a pickup for 9am on a Sunday and when I arrived to pick it up, they told me the kitchen opened at 9 and it would be another 15-20 minutes. However, 15 minutes later they said it would be another 15-20 minutes because they "couldn't control the kitchen". I ordered carry out-just a Big Boy sandwich & onion rings. Gross! Tasted like it sat there for 1/2 an hour. It should have been hot, but was not. Last time I will ever go there. Burned too many times...too bad because when the food is served hot & fresh, it's good. Seems like they care even less now with the Covid...
Went to Big Boy 0017 in Cheboygan, MI on 09/11/2019 for Son's 30th Birthday. All meals served were COLD; Took forever even to get drinks, food took way to long to get. We had 4 kids with us and the wait was too much for them....we were just about ready to leave when finally our COLD food came out. The 8 year old with us said " Grandma, You didn't want hot food, did you?" The manager gave us a whole 10% off our meal (Didn't even bother to come out). Sent the waitress out with the bill. I went for lunch before lunch time to have the freshest food, sadly I got crusty sauce that tasted like spaghettios and cold noodles. My friends got sour drinks and soggy food. Very dissappointed. I have never had my food delivered before my drinks or appetizers.
