Have had good fortune with Bitcoin since I bought it first in 2013. But the best thing I did in the summer of 2016 was start a Bitcoin Ira (Roth).In the 6 mo since I opened it the value has increased over 50%. Those I had to deal with in Bitcoin Ira were knowledgeable and professional. The whole process took about 20 min of my time. I would highly recommend it as a part of one's retirement fund.
Complete disaster of a company from the top down. "Not your keys, not your coin" is on full display when you trust Bitcoin IRA. Constant confusion about "where exactly the clients Bitcoin is" and "whether or not you even have an account here". Really thought they were a scam and my funds were lost in cyberspace, and very surprised to see the positive comments in this thread. Buyer beware.
Bictoin IRA worst experience 100% i don't recommend anyone, worst customer service they tell you wrong information every time to get correct information you got call multiple times & don't want our funds to go out of Bitcoin IRA so there trust company Digital trust will come up with reasons saying fax is not recieved or mail is not recieved so got to send register mail and they changed there trust company from Horizon trust to Digital trust without notice in an year and say you mailed the docs to wrong address. This company is totally unprofessional. After is set up a Roth IRA I found out their fees are exorbitant compared to much better reputable options. I requested transfer out. They completely stalled on the request, after numerous follow ups still no transfer out. Costing me lots of money bc the new platform which I set up my other Ira w has many more coin options and fraction of fees. Do your research before you go w Bitcoinira. Ugh!! Lesson learned!!!!

Aggressive sales - - you have to go through a rep to set-up your account - - can't do it online. They aggressively push you to invest everything right away rather than dollar cost averaging of course so they get their commission. They haven't made any significant website changes or enhancements to the user experience in a year. There are no screens on performance, returns or trends.
