Long wait, food came out cold!!! Not as good as in the past!!!
We live in Albany which is a good drive to this location.. Me and my husband are always looking forward to eating when we visit the Portland Area.. We came in on 10/22 at about 7:15pm and the service was not that great.. We waited a few minutes to be seated, the restaurant was not busy and the servers were walking by us and they did LOOK at us but no help in seating us.. Chicken for my Chicken & Waffle was over cooked. Ran out of soup and it wasn't late in the evening. Otherwise, good service. The other two adults enjoyed their meals.
We asked two people (the guy who dropped off our food AND a guy who appeared to be the manager) for extra syrup but never received. Come on people. Finally got it after finding our server. Pancakes were pretty much cold by then. The food was good except for the "sweet cream" pancakes which were way too sweet. You might consider also having traditional buttermilk pancakes.

I did not like service toast came last took forever getting refills. Very disappointed one of the worst Black Bear Diners I've been in.
We had breakfast there this morning Jonie, myself and my grandson and it was fantastic as usual. I thought I had lost my cane glove there and went back and no find. i was angry at myself and walked down to the bike shop to get a new glove and when i was waiting for them to open I took my hat off and found my lost glove :-) on the way back I asked Mr. Bear (in costume) to tell my waitress I found it. i hope he did.
Our server messed up several things from our order but she was very nice and upbeat. The food was wonderful, like always.
