We have enjoyed Black Bear every time we head north. We were happy to see this one in Buena Park. I had the cinnamon roll French toast. When it finally arrived, it was not cooked on the underside...still wet with egg....AND it had bits and pieces of onion all through it....and potatoes stuck to the bottom..... Cinnamon and Onion French Toast.... Gross..... Then......try getting a second cup of lousy coffee.... Not enjoyable at this local...

I was disappointed with the Biscuits and Gravy. The Biscuits were hard in parts and the egg was over cooked. I was in a large group, but I don’t feel that should be an excuse. They knew we were coming.

This was my 1st time. There was no hostage at the front so I was unsure what side to go on or do I just sit down. Finally after a few minutes someone came to seat us. The menus are cute, automatically thought they were to keep. How do they clean them? Do they print daily? How clean are they? Great prices for the size amount of food. Food was great except for vegetables and not hot enough. I had pot roast the pototoes, carrots and celery were hard. My side was green beans= bacon looked old, had no flavor and green beans ... read more
Food is great. It just them almost an hour to serve our order. And then the toast that we ordered were burned. And it took them sometime to serve it back. We thought they almost forgot our toast. Then eggs that came with the order were cooked wrong. Too bad we always love to go here ... But this time they failed our expectations.

I would love to give them more stars the food is good for the value. Were in on Monday for breakfast our waitress was amazing considering her working conditions. I think if she had more help or support she would have been over the top! She didn’t stop once never forget a thing, and was helping half of the restaurant! She wasn’t fast at getting back to us but she had a ton of tables with no other support or help! I guess this is the new policy I was in the harbor restaurant it was a similar situation there early in the morni... read more
