Meh... We've been to other Black Bear Diners and loved it, however not so with this one. Our first trip wasn't good, but they were new and we gave for that. Today, after drinking a portion of the coffee we see that the cup is completely stained with old coffee... We tell the server who replies that the coffee is so strong that it stains the cups... Um, the cups are ceramic and just need to be washed... Ridiculous to offer that as an excuse. The food was warmish, poached eggs were overcooked, etc... We won't be coming back...... read more

I've been to the Black Bear in Monterey Bay and had a great experience! However the one in Chino? The wait was crazy... the food was great! So I guess that made up for being there almost 2 hours!!! On my birthday.

After waiting a good 45 min. to a hour to be seated..after being told it could take up to 35 min....we then get seated the waitress looked as if she was over her day....we didn't get drinks in until a good 15-20 min....our order another 10 min after...literally took @ 3 hours to have brunch.

We went for my husband and sister in law's birthday on yesterday. We were ok with a 45 minute wait time for breakfast. It only took 30 minutes before we were able to get seated. The décor is great, the hostess Tamika was extremely friendly. And then we were placed in the hands of our server. While friendly, she wasn't very efficient in time or customer management. Even though it was a little busy, the wait time for our drinks was fifteen minutes. You can observe a lot in 15 minutes. Having been a server, I am generally very ... read more
