I felt like they just tried to take advantage of my elderly mother and elderly aunt who treated our family to blackbear diner as they don’t get to see us very often since we relocated. And they came for a surprise visit and we’re over charged for several items. Waiters don’t seem to know the menus as well as they should/could.
I sat for 20 minutes waiting for a to go order, meanwhile I watched five servers stand there staring in the window while two cooks hustle to make over 20 orders that were on the screen. Worst of all one of the servers was coughing dramatically behind the counter and didn’t even bother to cover her mouth let alone step away from the serving area or wash her hands. This is disgusting and I will be sure to pass this on to my friends and family about this location
Thanks for the “poached” eggs, undercooked hashbrowns, and crappy service. The woman serving us literally forgot to bring us our box. She was sitting down, chatting with another employee. It wasn’t until I made direct eye contact with her that we got our box and dipped. So we got to stay longer than intended. I really shouldn’t have paid for any of that. Lesson learned.
I know it sucks to have to work on Easter. I totally get it... but me and my two teenagers are the only ones here and today is my birthday.. and not to have anyone come check on us to at least refill our drinks... not cool guys.
We were clearly a big inconvenience to our extremely sassy and rude server, Tracy. Luckily she had the host tell us “it’s best if Tracy doesn’t continue serving you” because she couldn’t act like a decent human. The server who took over was very sweet, but doesn’t erase the awful experience. Definitely don’t recommend and won’t be going back
