I dined at the Black Bear Diner for the first time about a week ago and returned for breakfast yesterday and on both occasions I and my wife were very pleased with both the food and service, Food was excellent and proportions are huge (more than I could consume at one sitting) and the server was very attentive. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a really good meal with great service.

Not sure how they have an avg of 3.7; stopped on a whim in the middle of a road trip, exhausted (headed home). Everyone we encountered was super fun despite the fact that it was later in the evening, after 9 - 9:30p.m. The food was consistent with other Black Bear Diners, excellent (meatloaf). All wait times were decent, I'd def visit again.
