In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Great breakfast- was not sure if opened - but was Eggs cooked to perfection - bacon is a must - pancakes more than you can eat and service was fantastic Also very clean and quiet

I walked in one afternoon and ordered what I believed looked best at the time: their pancakes. The ONLY complaint I have is the wait. These cakes were beautifully done, very fluffy and heavily enjoyed in each and every bite. I will be returning, and I will be ordering more. Not only that, but I would be more than delighted to recommend this establishment to any looking for a good place to eat locally.
