Food was average. Pretty well priced. Just to be honest service was terrible. We noticed our server constantly talking to other waiters even after we asked for things. Ie silverware, refill on drinks, missing side items we ordered with our meal. If you told me to go there again I'd likely offer other places to eat. To note: pretty good options for kids.

Donovan was a great waiter!!! The food was awesome and fast service. If you want great service I would definitely recommend Black Bear Diner!

Great food, really liked the variety. Wasn't a huge fan of the service as far as the hostess, they need to be retrained on how to speak to ppl. Also wasn't a big fan of the servers, they never come back and check on you. Also was once seated in the patio and they completely forgot about us. We left and went to Country Barrel instead.

Stopped in for a late dinner right before they were supposed to close. Donnie was our waiter and he was wonderful! I'm sure he wanted to go home, but he did not act that way. He was very gracious and professional and funny and make sure everything was great for us. Thank you, Donnie!

I'm big on diner, food, this place was pretty average. If you go into this place, not expecting too much then you won't be bothered. It is a true diner, and there is a lot to appreciate about it from the design of the restaurant to the design of the menus

Came in late after a long, hot day and was greeted by Donny. He was very attentive and we had a good laugh. The food was great and hit the spot. The environment was wonderful and I loved all the decor! Definitely coming back for great service and delicious entrees.

Visited Black Bear Diner today for the first time in Harker Heights for breakfast. We were seated promptly and our server Jamie A. was terrific! She was polite and very attentive! The food was good and we had the best pancakes we have ever had! I would definitely go there again!

The waitress was not very attentive. She refilled my iced tea without any ice and she appeared as if she had better things to do that to serve us. The food was mediocre. We got fish and chips and a patty melt. Both were bland. They did use real cod though. We most likely won't eat there again except maybe to try their breakfast food. There are better choices nearby.
