In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. My husband and I finally made it to Black Bear Diner a few days ago. They recently opened up in our town. Our server Jamie, she was excellent! Made you feel like you were special. Prompt service, soda and coffee was always full. Delicious food! Also another server Crystal, took the time to talk with us and also made us feel welcome! This is our new local favorite restaurant. Food was excellent and we had the most awesome waitress, Mystie! Our visit started off very unpleasant, Mystie turned that around in a heartbeat. She went out of her way to make sure we were happy and planning to be repeat customers. You are very lucky to have someone on your staff like her, she could give lessons on customer service. We will definitely be back.
