I have been to Black Bear diner several times now, and each time was very good, until this time.I keep bringing friends and family here because the food is good, but this time we wanted your Mikeys Chicken pot pie, and was looking forward to it, as ive had it before and told people about it. We ordered the pot pies, waited awhile, then the waitress comes and tells us that it would be another hour or so before the pies would be done, so ask us if we wanted something else. Came in on 6/7/19 for first time. I ordered the Fri special all you can eat catfish after I was told you were out of prime rib. I was understanding to that given the hour we were in. My catfish was good at least the three pieces I was given. As I was finishing some lady was going throughout the restaurant stating no more catfish orders. Another great visit at black bear this morning, Robin was great.
We went and had the worst service I've had in years. After being seated we did not have our waiter show up for our drink order for 10 mins. When he finally showed up he said he was sorry for the wait but they were busy. ( I'll address that) he tried to leave but we asked if we could order our food since we knew what we wanted by that point. It took close to another 10 mins to recieve our drinks. Carpeted floor in a bear themed restaurant? More important, my father in laws dinner was brought and his vegetables came in a plastic bag. The waitress was embarrassed but how was that not caught before it was brought to our table. Food overpriced , not worth another visit.
Ceiling was missing some tiles but the Manager saw my husband looking at it and came over and reassured him that all was safe and sanitary!
