My elderly parents visited the diner in Owasso, Ok. They arrived at 11:50 ordered at 11:58 after waiting 20 minutes a server asked if everything was okay. My parents hadn't received there meal, the server and manager looked at the ordering kiosk and realized the order didn't go through. It was ordered again and after another 19 minutes my parents left. My father has parkinsons with dementia and it's very hard on him to get out, let alone for him to sit for extended period of times without becoming rigid. No manager, no ... read more

The 8 people in our party after we were told we could not sit 5 at one of the tables. The hostesses said we could the bus persons said we could, waitress said we couldn't. She went back and forth to the manager to ask him questions but the mgr didn't have the professionalism to handle it himself. We had an elderly women in our group and having walk in after they assured us our tables were ready. Than her having to get up and walk again, sad! So I guess your staff needs to get some more training since they apparently don't k... read more

I have dined several times at the 71st Street location in Tulsa and was pleased with the food and service. This is the first time I've been to the Owasso location. Our server, Dawn, was pleasant enough, but smelled of cigarette smoke, which was very off-putting. We ordered chicken & waffles to share and were surprised to find the chicken breast seasoned with Italian seasoning. (We assume that this is the same chicken used for the chicken parmesan.) To me that does not go with waffles. But, the most disturbing thing abo... read more

The chicken fried steak is frozen not fresh hand breaded. The chicken fried steak like a TV dinner chicken fried steak. The mac cheese has no flavor or spices the mash potatoes are instant and have a funky flavor. The KC strip is great, the fries are great but overall the food is mediocre for the price and atmosphere feels like a family camping lodge from the late 80s and early 90s. Give this place a 1 star right behind the garbage can behind Carl’s Jr.

NICE FACILITY. WE HAD A WAFFLE WITH A FRUIT CUP WITH IT. AFTER LOOKING AT THE FRUIT CUP MY WIFE NOTICED THE STRAWBERRIES WERE ROTTEN. WE TOLD THE WAITER AND SHE SAID "OH THAT SHOULDN'T BE". SHE TOOK THE CUP AWAY AND NEVER BROUGHT US SOMETHING ELSE NOR DID SHE OFFER AN ADJUSTMENT ON OUR BILL. AFTER WE LEFT WE BOTH AGREED THAT WE WEREN'T THAT IMPRESSED ON HOW YOU HANDLE PROBLEMS.

We had 7 people with us one ordered Mac and cheese. It was the most terrible Mac and cheese I had ever tasted. The little girl ordered chocolate chip pancakes. She got plain one. We told the waiter he said he would get the right one, but forgot to. Findly came around and ask if everything was ok. We told him she never got her food. I was very disappointed we were so glad when we heard Black Bear was coming to Owasso.

I sent this email to you all on 2/15 and never even received a response from anyone. This is unacceptable service especially for a new location. At least have the courtesy to reply back to me even if it is to tell me to take a hike. Email sent on 2/15/19 below. Hello, just wanted to share my 1st Blackbear Diner experience at the new location in Owasso, OK. My wife and I went to eat diner early to beat the diner rush and was seated fairly quickly. We asked about the Tri-tips & shrimp diner and was told you only got 6 shrimp... read more

Ordered the chicken pot pie. It was seasoned well with a nice crust. Portion was good; however, it had only about 6 or 7 carrot chunks and it was LOADED and I mean LOADED with green peas. The entire pot pie was just green. I did not finish it because of the amount of peas. Salad was fresh and dressing was good. We had previously tried the breakfast and were impressed with the omelet and it was hot; however, our biscuit was overcooked and our red potatoes while nicely seasoned were barely warm with some potatoes cold. We ... read more
