We count on Black Bear Diner. Passing through town we dropped in for lunch and waited a long time for service and the food. We didn't time it because we didn't anticipate a long wait for food. I did watch and saw orders were not coming out. The food was poor and waited too long. Fri sept 5 1:30ish, bacon and eggs, chicken avocado club.

Service was good and the restaurant is nice but unfortunately the food was not good. I had the fried chicken and the outside was so hard that I had to remove all of the coating to eat any of the chicken. Very disappointing.
having dined at other black bear dinner locations and been generally satisfied, im sorry to say the location in Richfield really misses the mark. my food had an obvious mold flavor. I literally had to spit it out. I spoke to the waitress and was offered not even an apology. if not for that I might have overlooked the sticky table, and stained news paper menu, and the floors in need of vaccuming.
Good took well over an hour for some pancakes and sandwiches. All the tables around us were waiting really long times. Server was nice but no reasoning behind it. No manager walking around apologizing. Our kids were clearly upset and we were met with apologies, not a muffin or crackers or something to help tie them over. When the food did arrive it was cold, pretty terrible and we still had to wait an extra 10 min for our kids to get their food. Do not recommend.

CHUCKLING as i look at the pics and read the reviews....note that the pic is not the Richfield , Utah location....k.....and the food is corporation type redundancy. yes, enough salt to taste and the food is predictable normmm. music is canned and predictably "perfect" and the coffee is hot. A perfectly corporate type environment. YEp. That is that. same o same o.
Food was the nastiest i have ever had the gravy had lumps of power mix not mixed the steak was tough as leather Short staffed waited 42 min to get a seat waitress seemed to have to much to do or mind was somewhere else and on a side note whats with all the fake looking BEARS
Food was made wrong and it took a very long time to remake. They were shortstaffed I understand, when it came back out, it was covered inmayonnaise literally swimming... I ate a few bites and left the rest. Don't recommend
Don't understand the hype. Mediocre service and food was barely okay.we ordered breakfast and it was a disappointing experience all around.
for any POC traveling, be weary coming here for food. my boyfriend and i went to pick up our food and were treated very poorly. all the (white) guest had amazing service waking in. however, when my boyfriend and i came in we were met with a very hostile environment. the hostess did not offer any assistance and the manger on duty greeted everyone but us. it was not until we had been waiting for sometime that another hostess had asked if we'd been help. the other hostesses were standing around chatting the whole time. after w... read more
