We went to have a late lunch at 3pm on a Thursday and there were at least six tables with dirty dishes. The table and booth they sat us at was dirty! The seat was filthy with onions and sauce all over it, not to mention the floors were all dirty. Whomever is the manager should be fired. If it was busy I could have seen these things but there was maybe 5 customers. I won't be back! Disgusting

Unfortunately, we didn't even try the food. As we were being shown to our table, I noticed that I couldn't take more than two steps without stepping on dropped food, straw wrappers, etc. As we reached our table, there was so much garbage on the floor under it that I was shocked that the staff would seat someone in that kind of mess. I also noticed that there was a palm-size sticky spot on the table that hadn't been completely wiped off. Before we even sat down, I told my husband that I wanted to go somewhere else. I was very disappointed by the experience of going to Black Bear Diner. Not only was it a very hot evening, there appeared to be no functional air conditioning in the building. Service was also exceptionally slow, with us waiting nearly 45 minutes for our food. Some of the food had clearly been done for a while and spent an extended period under a hot lamp, finally coming to the table not fresh at all.
I was very disappointed by the experience of going to Black Bear Diner. Not only was it a very hot evening, there appeared to be no functional air conditioning in the building. The prices are just too high: Waffle with bacon $12.98 Bowl of fruit $6.49 Denver omelette $12.99 (no roll, no potatoes, no price change) Waffle $3.99 Iced Tea $2.99 With tax and tip, $50.58 Zowie! That's too much for what we got. One waffle was undercook, and although our waitress offered a substitute waffle, or something else, we declined. Still, it remained on our bill.
