In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Today I had a delicious chicken avocado club sandwich paired with fresh brewed ice tea. It was delicious. Juan was very attentive and checked in frequently to make sure the service was excellent. The ambiance was pleasant and calming. Will be back soon

Always welcoming, delicious food, pleasant diner. Near auto sales and service street, so hopping in for a meal while waiting is easy. A favorite when we're in the area. Everything from single items to LARGE breakfasts or dinners. Priced similar to Denny's, but fresher and more unique. Cute bear decor. Glad to see this chain getting recognized for quality, atmosphere, and charm.
