If I could give zero stars I would. Was seated and as I walked in, there were only 5 people on my side. In 10 minutes, did not even get to order drinks. Walked out without ordering and saw 4 staff just standing up front. I am married to a culinary professional and spent years waiting tables. Even a "hi, I will be right with you" would mean something.
The food was average diner food of course, which is fine thats what we went there for. The prices where average as well, which is good. However, the service was so aweful that my first visit will be my last, that is unfortunate as I like diner food.... I could understand if they where buisy, but they where at a steady pace of customers trickling in and our server only had 3 other tables beside us all seated enough time in between that she could have very easily taken care of everyone with ease....
The food is always great but the service is lacking. I've been there when it's busy and when it's slow and I'm still frustrated that we can't get reasonable service. Today was slow and there was no less than 7 workers right at the front that were too busy talking to each other (albeit some were attending to work concerns) and no one could seat us or even acknowledge we walked in the door...when there was absolutely no other customers in the front. Had to try the place. Ordered our food almost right away, but it took over 30 minutes to get it. I had ordered the taco salad with grilled chicken. Worst idea ever. I had nothing but lettuce maybe a bite worth of chicken and some (not even a dollop) of refried beans. I hate to complain so I let it go. This was our second visit. The wait was long the service was good. The food was delicious . We will go back. Some improvements need A lot better then the first visit. It's only been a month.

We have eaten at other Black Bear Diners and the food has always been awesome. This place we have eaten at twice the first time the food was burnt. This time we did an order to go and didn't get all the food we ordered and the person taking the order seem confused. I don't think we will be back to this location.
