My relative was admitted to Blaenos in July 2017 with complex needs. The home is managed most efficiently with guidance and supervision provided to all staff who work well within a team. Residents are treated with dignity. Care plans are discussed with the family. Communication is excellent. The building is clean and is currently being refurbished to a high standard, providing a comfortable environment for everyone. Dad was admitted here in March as a result of a crisis situation, but it was always well understood that I wished him to return home to be cared for. I am also his Power of Attorney for health and well-being and as such, should have been involved in all decisions relating to his care. Dad suffers from advanced dementia and demonstrated increasingly challenging behaviours to the extent that I was advised that care could probably not continue to be provided and that I could be advised of this at 24 hours' notice.
