Pampered Our two day stay exceeded our expectations. Our room in the carriage was gorgeous, comfortable and we slept soundly. We especially enjoyed the three course gourmet breakfasts and the wine and cheese hour in the garden. Hope to return next year.
FABULOUS this b&b is fabulous! everything at this b&b is worth your time and money! the rooms are gorgeous, the staff is friendly, and the gardens are spectacular! Frank and Ralph are excellent innkeepers/owners!
We loved it. It was a wonderful experience. Close to downtown, charming gardens, wonderful breakfasts and social hours, very welcoming staff. Thouroughly enjoyed it.
Good Getaway I stayed at the Inn in early May. It was a wonderful experience. The gardens are magical, the food simply excellent, the down town area within walking distance, and the owners and staff all very helpful. I had a massage and facial. Both were divine. I highly recommend the 1889 WhiteGate Inn & Cottage.
The Whitegate is worth the trip!! My wife and I have now stayed at the Whitegate on two different occasions, (3 for my wife) and we love it there! The location is great, easy access to I-40, minutes from downtown Asheville (you could walk if you wanted to), the entrance to the Biltmore Estate is an easy drive and less than 10 minutes away. Wonderful 1st time .... We were delighted with our stay at the Inn. We typically stay in hotels when we travel but decided that since there are so many B&B's choices in Asheville we'd try one for a change of pace ? we picked a winner! The Inn has old world charm and features but offers all the modern amenities, the common areas are comfortable, cozy and sunny while our bedroom/ bathroom was totally up to date. Rooms have no TV. This is not prominent in either hotels.com or their web site. After a day walking around Asheville I was looking forward to watching the hockey playoffs in my room. What kind of hotel doesn't provide television in 2026? this isn't the 1950s. I was told this allows guest to disconnect. I can make my own disconnect decision by shutting off the set. Will not be going back.
