Our room wasn't properly cleaned and furniture was substandard.

Booked through Travelocity and said "Pet Friendly." When I arrived with my dog, they said the room they booked me in was not pet friendly and all other rooms were booked. The women working the desk called the owner and let me know I would have to deal with Travelocity to get my refund. Terrible customer service and left me high and dry with no options. Learned my lesson, book direct or stay at a reputable chain...

Hello, I do believe we spoke on the phone about your pet and I asked you to contact expedia. Which you agreed to. however, you did not do as you said and showed up with a pet in a non- pet friendly room. unfortunately, we cannot allow pets in certain rooms. Our Guest service work very hard and for you to tell us that it was a terrible experience is just disrespectful.
They could have done better The place was not clean up. The room had garbage from the previous guest. Mask rules were Not clear and staff kept sending mixed messages. We asked for ice once and the ice Maker was broken. The matters was Old and wear off. Really Hard to sleep on it.
Stay at WhiteGate Inn Checked in T.V did not work. Had to move all of our luggage to another room. Very old room dirty furniture. Mirror above sink terrible. You could not even see yourself. No bottled water or snacks in the refrigerator. T.V very small and not clear. Kind of snowy background. Just very unclean for paying over $300.00 per night. My suggestion. Two Night Stay Compared to our experiences at other BandBs we were disappointed. To recap: No bottled water, no ice, no evening wine/beer/cheese social hour, No storage for our bikes (they have an exercise area, greenhouse, and covered back porch), and we were only couple in the house. We felt some effort could have been made at accommodating our request. Lovely home but rooms need attention We were so excited to stay in the heart of Asheville and looking forward to the amenities this B&B offered. The room was indeed beautiful and the location perfect. Unfortunately, our room had some issues and it took a good deal of coaxing and ultimately threatening to leave for our problems to be addressed. Upon arrival our fireplace was not working. Disappointed My husband & I had a special occasion to celebrate & so we were looking for a B&B to make it an extra special get away. We were striving to make an informed decision based on reviews, pictures & price so that we would be sure we had a destination that lived up to our hopes; but when we drove up to the Whitegate Inn, our hearts sank.
