It took several months to get our loan ready to refinance. It also took dozens of phone calls to get to a person with enough authority to look at our file and see what was wrong. ***** ******* should be fired. She strung me along without communication and when I pushed the issue I was told she had been out of the office for an extended amount of time and did not give the file to someone else. In this market, it has taken longer to process loans. When the loan was ready to close the rates had increased and she had not locked in the desired interest rate. She wants something that is just not available in this market. No one is happy when rates increase. We do not have any controls on which way the market will move. We have had numerous conversations with the borrower to discuss rates and how to proceed. She continues to call and demand a rate that is not available at this time. Blue Brick Financial, LLC. offered me a mortgage deal (very low rate with absolutely no cost to me) which was so good that it was hard to believe at the beginning. I had to ask lots of detailed questions before I was convinced that they realy meant it. BBF was patient with me to answer all the rpeated and sometimes "dumb" questions. The loan went through smoothly, and they were behind on every detailed step till it was completely closed. I would highly recommend them.
Basically, I had the exact same experience the other's had in terms of customer service and lack of communication and follow up. Very unprofessional. I wish I had read these reviews first. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Complaint: Blue Brick Financial (BBF) advertised no cost finance services. We requested their service. BBS failed to provide the promised services. Due to extreme tardiness, it took more than four months for BBF to submit our loan application to the underwriter. Two weeks would have been an appropriate time. I will never do business with this company again. Their process took over 2 months for a simple refi with low loan to value, perfect credit, and verified income. Absolutely zero communication from anyone at the company including the owner, vp, or office manager. Nobody calls you back!!!!!!!! If this review helps just one person from having to experience the level of frustration and aggrevation I went through them my mission is complete. Complaint: We chose Blue Brick Financial to take care of our Re-Finance needs. We are into the sixth month of the process with no finalization. Phone calls and email messages are not getting returned. All needed documents have been submitted in a timely manner, with some being submitted multiple times. Approvals took exeedingly long. When we were finally told a certain person would contact us that same day to schedule finalizations, we waited a week with nothing. Complaint: Blue Brick Financial unexpectedly increased my interest rate and monthly payment on my mortgage refinance without my knowledge when I went to sign the closing documents! Blue Brick seems to do OK if there are not problems with the loan application, but falls down when something out of the ordinary comes up. In our case our loan servicer would not accept the document to allow Blue Brick to get a payoff amount from them. Blue Brick tried 5 times before they said anything to us. With a loan that is 152% of the value of the home that we are refinancing, the whole process is "out of the ordinary". We are ones that deal with that very well. We put in a lot of man hours processing his loan and exploring different ways to get things done as Mr. ****** was not able to contact the correct personnel within his existing mortgage company. I called them after a friend referred them to me and they were very easy to work with and very informative. They are very good at what they do. They made the entire process simple, smooth and almost effortless on my part. My only complaint (and it is a very minor one) is that they could not take electronically signed documents so I had to scan and email them in. I do not count this as a negative toward them but just maybe something to think about incorporating.
