front desk I came in for a cracked tooth. I was taken right away, they did x rays smoothed the tooth. I had no problem there. The lady at the desk told me my insurance may not pay for another consultation this year, I came in for a specific reason a broken tooth. I asked her if she could put it on the insurance that way, she said she only had certain codes. I know there must be a code for tooth repair.

Dissappointed My husband and I have been going to Blueridge family dentistry before it was Blueridge family dentistry. We have always been satisfied until our scheduled visit on 10/5/15. Even though we were the 1st scheduled appointment, we were more than 15 minutes late getting in. My husband had a broken tooth and was scheduled to see what the options were for treatment. After being told to wait in the waiting room he finally left after 45 minutes only after the receptionist went to see why there was such a wait. He had as... read more

My time is as valuable as yours and how is your screw up my fault? Really liked Dr. Huang last week and planned on bringing whole family to Blue Ridge, until today, when I met another dentist. They scheduled me for something that did not need done until after a crown was set. OK, I've driven 40 miles to get here, left a budget meeting early, and planned my whole day around this visit, so let's do the crown. No, according to new dentist ( who gave several different excuses as to why he could not do that, ), I would have to le... read more

I am appalled at how I was treated Please make good decisions when it come to your dental health. I had a less than pleasant experience with this practice. They were very nice and helpful until I questioned my treatment plan. It all changed at that point. I was verbally insulted by the office manager. My case was complicated and being an ER nurse helped me to understand and have knowledge of my care. I'm out $1,100 and have no tooth to put that crown on.

Everybody was nice and very polite as usual. But once the person cleaning your teeth put those gloves on they should be very conscious of what they are touching outside of the patient's mouth and the tools they need. I heard the computer keyboard again. The dentist even touched the light on the side that didn't have the plastic on it. I am not comfortable when someone is working in my mouth for them to touch anything unless they change their gloves. I know people can touch things and not even notice it.

Wish practice provided x-rays for patients with braces My son was a new patient at your practice. We had to transfer from his previous dentist due to the dentist now being out-of-network. At the appointment, my husband was told your practice does not do x-rays on patients with braces. That is a concern to me. How can you truly know if the teeth are okay without being able to see them completely?

Business response:

I am glad to hear you entrusted us with your sons health. Our Doctors have chosen a clinical protocol that does not include X-rays on patients in orthodontic treatment. Although insurance will pay for the X-rays, they are typically insufficient for the Doctor to diagnose from. This is due to the metal in the wires, brackets, and bands involved in orthodontic treatment preventing the X-rays from being effective.

cleaning I know that I have lots of staining on my teeth due to drinking tea and I'm use to it taking longer than some to have my cleaning done. The person doing it this time was nice but left many stains and not up to par with what I usual experience. As a result I called and requested my favorite person for my next appointment. This was the only time I have been disappointed with my visit
