I have balance problems and a deteriorating spine which makes walking difficult. I was looking for someone once a week to assist me and get me out of the house. I had parks, galleries and museums on my wish list. Then it was March 2020 and Covid-19 happened. All the above had to be changed to ‘taking exercise’ and buying oddments from local chemist and food shops. Bluebird Camden provided day and night care for my terminally ill 93-year-old mother. They were very kind, gentle, responsive to and respectful of her needs and her preferences. They made sure I was aware of important issues such as skincare, and of course, dealt with these in their care of her. They provided emergency care at short notice and were very courteous, reliable and efficient - very easy to deal with and accessible. I would definitely engage them again if the need arose.

We have had a fantastic experience with Bluebird Care, and I would highly recommend them. They got the measure of my mum and her needs very quickly and assigned a fantastic carer who suits Mum perfectly. She has revolutionised Mum’s life and ours and enabled us all to live a much easier life. It’s very hard to know where to start when you first find that a relative needs care and Bluebird were and are very supportive.

I am a private carer and needed an agency to bridge the care I was providing to my elderly client as her condition deteriorated and I can not recommend Bluebird enough. The member of staff who I initially spoke to, was so helpful and understanding of a quite complicated situation. The supervisor and the carers were all so helpful, smiley and very willing. My aunt, aged 95, was diagnosed with late-onset Alzheimer's disease. In November 2017 I was asked by the consultant to arrange daycare for her (she was a self-funder). From the lists of agencies given me by the social worker, I chose Bluebird Care Camden & Hampstead as it was the only agency with an outstanding rating by the CQC. I cared for my mother, who had advanced Alzheimer’s, for the past 4 years and used Bluebird Care for support with her care needs. I can honestly say, that I was so very fortunate and grateful to have the amazing carers that I did. Mum's regular carers were knowledgeable, empathetic, professional and client-focused. The main Bluebird carer I have had this past year is intelligent and understanding of my needs (I am 98 years old) and is quick to my needs. The same applies to other carers I have had at the weekends, so my general experience is good.
Bluebird works hard to ensure clients are cared for with compassion and as efficiently as possible. Clients can be fairly demanding and requests are dealt with thoughtfully and, as far as possible, answered speedily. Clients are notified when a carer may be late and this is much appreciated. My husband has suffered a number of falls recently and I have been gratified to see how carers have approached these, treating him gently, patiently and with professionalism.
