I am very happy overall with the service provided by Bluebird Care although the frequent change of staff (Carers ) and increasing costs are of concern. I find Bluebird very flexible and obliging if rota timings need to be changed to meet Doctor/ Hospital appointments etc.

Bluebird seems to be still having staffing problems; however, the carer is always in place for Mum. Rota information has been very limited or not received over the last period. Overall, very satisfied.

On the whole, I am very satisfied with the service given by Bluebird Care York. One issue however is that new carers do not receive enough training. They seem to shadow for a few days and then sent out. I find it very stressful to have a new person who I often haven't met. I then have to explain where everything is and to be found and my routine. My wife was diagnosed with Motor neurone disease more than seven years ago. After four years, Bluebird was called in to help as she could no longer support her body weight even with a walking frame. She is now housebound and almost bed-bound. Her carers come four times a day (in tows) for the hoist. They are always helpful, know their job and are discreet.
