"Terrible and Strange " I purchased a CPO 740 from BMW Peabody in June. The purchase experience was ok but the check engine light went on 40 miles after purchase. That problem was resolved, and the car also needed new brakes and to have the power seat repaired after purchase. So much for the exhaustive CPO inspection… Despite that, I love the car. I dropped it off at 715a yesterday to have the power seat repaired for the second time. This was an appointment I had set several days ago. The Service Advisor called me late in th... read more
"Long time fan not releasing because of bad service" I have owned or leased a BMW for more than 20 years. BMW is a joy to drive, and the purchase experience has always gone fairly well. But I have to say, since moving to my current home five years ago and dealing with the service department at Peabody, I have come to the conclusion that my next car will not be a BMW. I grew up in Detroit and my father and I worked on many cars together- back in the day when you could do the work yourself- and my father was also in the car in... read more
in the last week the service department at this place is a joke . The service associates are all overworked and tired . They look and act like they have been forced to work there . I generally hate going to dealers for mechanical work as they overcharge you and generally the folks who work there since it's not their own business they just don't care . I'd rather use a local guy who owns his own business and doesn't charge n arm n a leg and cares about his customers . However I ended up here for two reasons , 1 my car happens... read more
I am not usually one to write a review on websites, but this one warrants some of my time. I bought a certified pre-owned 550i GT from BMW Peabody back in November 2015. The experience initially was quite good with the sales representative being responsive to my questions and requests. The car took about a week to be prepared with a full check-up prior to pick-up, which I was fine with. Then things went wrong: I took deliver of the car and within a couple of weeks that I noticed the gas gauge was not functioning properly. Br... read more

So, GS back on the board with an update. I would normally not go back to a review and update it, but recent interactions have warranted such. I am a firm believer that everybody makes mistakes and while easier to judge people on that error, I think it is better to rate people on how they resolve the issue John (GM at the dealership) gave me a call recently and wanted to make amends for the trouble I had gone through with the car. He met with me in person and laid out options to either keep the car or turn it in for another. ... read more
I purchased my BMX X3 at Peabody in 2008. Why I continued to bring my car in for services is puzzling to me. I believed each time there was an issue, it was just a one off, but after my last visit this month, I just cannot ignore it. The service folks are really uninterested in any real issue, problems the vehicle has is not a priority - unless it is a non warranty issue and can be easily fixed for a high cost. I struggled with the film that the dealership put on the car - which I paid extra for, and it failed. I had complai... read more
Being a customer at BMW Peabody is to experience a strange mix of polo shirt and greed, that only the underachieving children of wealth who work there could deliver. Here are a few things I've learned as a customer since 2011: 1) After shopping for a BMW at Peabody it was clear their sales model is short term thinking, stick-to-sticker and offer poor trade value on BMW trades. Oy! I went on BMWusa.com, searched regional inventories, and saved 20% by buying the same car from Naperville BMW. Excellent transaction and I didn't ... read more
Never have I seen a dealership that would go to such lengths to avoid honoring a clear warranty replacement item. They blatantly lied to me about the test results, even after I gave them multiple opportunities to reverse their decision by substantiating their mistakes through other service facilities. The deceptions and outright stupidity is unfathomable at this particular dealership. Not only did they misdiagnose my vehicle's problem, but their insistence and unwillingness to acknowledge their mistakes goes even farther. In... read more
Business response:
As a premium car dealership we understand and practice excellent customer service. We also understand that by the nature of our business we will receive feedback from our customers. We not only welcome this feedback we solicit it. Customer feedback provides us with an excellent opportunity to review, evaluate and adjust our service as is appropriate. The only request we make with customer feedback is that it be factual. Unfortunately this review does not meet that criteria.
BMW of Peabody used to have the best BMW Service in the area....not anymore. Instead of focusing their efforts on improving their service they are maliciously "improving" their Internet image by posting unrealistic stellar reviews here, reviews that seem to be written by the same person . Therefore these full 5 stars reviews here must be treated cautiously or rather disregarded by any prospect client, these guys are not stellar by any means. The Service Manager is never to be found, their work quality is bad to say the least... read more
My last visit was a total disaster. This time I had to leave the car with them for a couple of days for the HPFP recall. I got it back with ~27 miles more. In the days the car was in their possession rained a lot. It seems they drove my car (God knows where) with the moon roof open. I cannot describe the $#@& that was inside …they left black marks, sand and stains on the beige floor covering everywhere in the front as well as in the back ( I am not talking about the mats you can replace or clean). This is a 335 coupe and man... read more
