I purchased a used vehicle two weeks ago from Karen. She was very knowledgeable about the vehicle, but I felt she was being pretty pushy about making the sale. I understand the way to make commission is to hustle, but it just left a bad taste in my mouth. The vehicle I got wouldn't start when I first got in it, so they told me they replaced the battery. I was overall pleased with the experience. It took significantly longer than I had hoped or expected, but to their credit, it was a result of them cleaning the vehicle for delivery (even the salesperson jumped in to help out). The car was a mess when I tested it, so they did what they could to get it ready. And they did do a good job cleaning the vehicle, when compared to a profesisonal detail service. Your hourly rate is out of line - way to high. If I could have gotten into another auto shop, I would have. Your mark-up on parts is too high. I brought my car in late on Thursday. It was done the following Tuesday. It shouldn't take so long to get parts delivered.
Our 2009 Audi S5 experienced a complete failure of the clutch. We had the vehicle towed to Park Place Motors. The clutch assembly is excluded from the Audi warranty however after doing some research on the Internet we found that there was a known defect with the S5 clutch assembly that caused pre-mature failure which was subsequently addressed in a mid 2010 re-design. The Park Place guys agreed that the failure was a result of a defect and made sure that Audi USA covered the cost of the repairs under the vehicle warranty.
I don't normally post reviews, but feel a prior snobby negative review was probably not accurate, at least not reflective of their current service. I too have owned an Infiniti and several Lincolns and had service performed at their corresponding dealerships. I must say I was more impressed with the service I received at Zimmerman than either the Infiniti or Lincoln dealers. Let me start this by saying I will now be going to a dealership that is an hour and a half away, compared to this dealership that is about 5 minutes away from home. Let me also state that this is the third German car that I have owned since 2002, and my first BMW. One thing I felt let down on was sales ability to know the product. I left the lot with a VW Routan not knowing various details about option functions. I ask about many items of several agents but began to feel like I was getting pat answers or guesses. I knew the book could give me the right answers but found out the book included with the van is just a general quick start guide and will have to wait till the owners manual shows up.
Went in looking for a replacement car after mine was totaled when someone rear-ended me. The saleman was friendly and I took a test drive of a car I was interested in, pending the financing. The experience was fine up until this point. Suddenly "interested in" meant "I was going to buy this car today." The saleman involved his manager at that point.
