This was my second time there and first for the rest of our party of four. Everyone had a great time. We could each other talk. The server was polite, informative and very attentive. This is a special place that we will return to in the future.
Overall I am satisfied with my dinner at bond 45. I went there to celebrate a girlfriend's birthday. Making a reservation was easy online. Parking was accessible in the parking garage for $9.00. The restaurant doesn't validate for free parking. We were seated near the door and it was chilly there as people where coming in and out. While working and staying at the Gaylord I decide to check out Bond 45 just a short walk away. I know it is a steakhouse but I had my mind set on the Lamb Ossobuco Pappardelle. My waiter Roger shared with me all of the delightful specialties on the menu. With that said I began with the Burrata Mozzarella, Prosciutto di Parma, Fresh Mozzarella, Beefsteak Tomatoes. Very surprised..one of the best steaks I've had in the DC area.
My wife and I love the overall experience that we have when visiting. The only issue I have is that the chiefs need to concentrate on the consistency of what they deliver. I have ordered various dishes but the lobster Mac and cheese is my favorite, but it is prepared differently each time that I have ordered it. While not affecting to overall experience it does give a little uncertainty to the meal. I will continue to dine at Bond 45 and recommend it to my friends.
Service was good. We had the calamari appetizer. It was ok, but I've had better. The bread looked better than it tasted, but also wasn't bad. For our entrees, I had the rib eye. My wife had the veal. Both were cooked how we liked. My steak was rare and delicious. We split roasted potatoes for a side. For dessert, the wife wanted the cheesecake which we split.
